IFPTE Local 70 Celebrates 20th Anniversary with New Name, Website and Logo

In celebration of 20 years of organizing professionals at nonprofit organizations International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE) Local 70 is making a change. It is rebranding itself as the Nonprofit Professional Employees Union (NPEU). The name change recognizes the union’s surging membership—which has seen a 257 percent increase in the last eight years—and presents a clearer identity to future members.

Center for Community Change Ratifies First CBA!

Staff at the Center for Community Change (CCC) voted unanimously to ratify their first collective bargaining agreement. CCC staff won union recognition in September of 2016, joining the growing trend of progressive non-profit organizations to unionize.
