Washington Center for Equitable Growth Staff Win New Collective Bargaining Agreement

Washington, DC — Workers at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth have successfully reached a successor collective bargaining agreement with management. The contract reflects staff’s commitment to the future sustainability and success of Equitable Growth.

It also reaffirms the central role of worker voice and solidarity in ensuring Equitable Growth’s success.”

The new agreement represents a significant step forward in strengthening the partnership between Equitable Growth and its employees, ensuring that both the organization and its workforce are well-positioned for continued success. Key highlights of the agreement include:

  • A hybrid work schedule with “purpose-driven” office attendance for team meetings and social functions, in general not to exceed 5 days per month (except under exigent circumstances)

  • Twelve weeks of 100 percent paid parental and personal medical leave, regardless of their state of residence

  • Year-round half-day Fridays

  • A new $40 monthly cell phone/internet stipend 

  • A flat $3,000 yearly salary increase for all employees, plus a minimum 7 percent salary increase for job-grade promotions and minimum 3.5 percent for within–job grade promotions

  • No reductions in insurance benefits guaranteed in the previous contract
