Healthcare Anchor Network Ratifies New Collective Bargaining Agreement
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Staff at Healthcare Anchor Network (HAN) have negotiated and ratified a new four-year collective bargaining agreement that strengthens compensation, benefits, and professional development opportunities for employees while reinforcing a collaborative labor-management partnership. Staff at HAN are unionized with the Nonprofit Professional Employees Union, IFPTE Local 70 (NPEU).
The agreement, approved by union members and management, reflects months of constructive negotiations and builds on the shared commitment of both parties to support staff and advance Healthcare Anchor Network’s mission.
“This contract reflects the power of collaboration and a shared dedication to strengthening our organization,” said Lauren Worth, a member of the union’s bargaining committee. “From stronger compensation to expanded leave and professional development resources, this agreement recognizes the contributions employees make every day to advance our mission. We’re deeply grateful to our fellow unit members for their support and trust throughout this process, as we worked to represent their priorities.”
A representative from Healthcare Anchor Network’s management team emphasized the collaborative spirit of the negotiations. "Nonprofits across the sector are navigating real financial headwinds, and HAN is no exception. We're proud that this agreement strikes the right balance—providing meaningful compensation and benefits improvements for staff now while building a foundation for their career growth and our shared organizational sustainability," said David Zuckerman, President and Founder, Healthcare Anchor Network.
“Congratulations to HAN Workers’ Union on ratifying their successor agreement,” said NPEU President Amy Chin-Lai. “This contract builds on past achievements to secure a stronger, more resilient future for workers at all levels.”
Highlights of the New Agreement:
The ratified contract introduces several improvements for employees, including compensation increases, targeted pay adjustments for employees earning $70,000 or less; expanded Compensatory Time; shorter probationary period; increased professional development funds; and expanded leave benefits including additional parental leave, bereavement leave, two additional personal days and one additional holiday each year.
