The Movement Cooperative Staff Forms Union with NPEU

WASHINGTON, Feb. 9, 2021 - An overwhelming majority of staff at The Movement Cooperative (TMC) have come together to form a union and join the Nonprofit Professional Employees Union (NPEU), Local 70 of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE). The union was voluntarily recognized by TMC management and certified via card check.

For the past year, workers at TMC have come together carefully and deliberately as working people, standing shoulder-to-shoulder to secure a voice at work through union representation. They will now start working to secure a union contract that protects workers’ rights and continues to promote dignified work.
