Mothers Out Front Formally Recognizes Staff Union

Mothers Out Front has officially recognized MOF staff member’s initiative to unionize and their selection of the Nonprofit Professional Employees Union (NPEU) Local 70, IFPTE to be their collective bargaining representative. The organization and the staff bargaining unit released the following statements today. 

Statement from the Mothers Out Front Staff Union Organizing Committee:

“As an organization committed to our mission of a livable climate for all children, and an ongoing dedication to lift the voices of those who care for and nurture children, the Union Organizing Committee is pleased that the leadership of Mothers Out Front have voluntarily recognized our staff bargaining unit and have reaffirmed their commitment to fair representation, staff welfare, and equity in opportunities for all MOF employees. We are proud of our staff representation from all departments and levels of seniority within the organization.

We are further proud to partner with the Nonprofit Professional Employees Union in our efforts up to this point, and look forward to a continued fruitful partnership as we move forward in future negotiations with executive management.

We look forward to continued discussion and negotiation in service of our goal to promote a workplace that promotes an intersectional commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion across all aspects of our shared work.”
