Action Squared Union Ratifies First Union Contract
Action Squared employees - who have created online organizing tools such as Action Network and Action Builder - have ratified their first union contract. Highlights from Action Squared Union’s contract are included below.
Professional development: Action Squared employees will have the opportunity to take three professional development days per year and Action Squared will pay up to $2000 for courses.
Paid parental leave: Action Squared employees can take 16 weeks of paid parental leave and have the option of taking four additional weeks unpaid for 20 total weeks of parental leave.
Anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies: Policies that apply to all employees, interns, fellows, and anyone else Action Squared comes in contact with that are transparent, prompt, and include escalating steps with independent, third-party investigations.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion commitment: Action Squared will make changes to hiring, which include using gender-neutral language in posts for open positions and removing identifying demographic during the application review process.
Stipends: Action Squared employees will receive $200 per month for technology and home office expenses, as well as an additional $50 per month for health and wellness.
